Yummy Youth | Luiza's Night Eye Serum, made by Tash

Updated: Feb 1, 2021

Our eyes, also known as the 'mirrors to our soul', cannot lie about our feelings, our health nor about our age if we neglect to look after them. Luckily there are many a solution to banish signs of ageing and keep our eye area beautiful.

Puffiness, bloodhound-type bags, crows feet and dark circles can be caused by an array of problems associated with our lifestyles or nature. Common causes are:

  • Lack of sleep.

  • Too much sleep.

  • Over-indulgence in alcohol.

  • Allergies and food sensitivity.

  • Water retention - check out my blog post & video on an easy DIY beauty tip to get rid of bags under your eyes due to this villain.

  • Genetics.

  • Ageing.

But don't you worry wondrous beings, I have concocted a serum that will help with all those eye dramas and it's all-natural and homemade.

As mentioned in my Yummy Youth Shiv's Serum, Yummy Youth Taz's Toner and my Yummy Youth Tsheps' Toner blog posts, I have chosen to name a couple of my products after people in my life that have got me through some pretty shit times and that are very special to me. Enter my dear, beautiful and quirky Luiza. Never a dull moment to be had with this lovely creature (and after using this serum, never a dull eye to be seen upon your face). Beautiful both inside and out, Luiza will also straighten you out when you need it, much like this serum will iron out those crow's feet of yours.

Before we get into the benefits of each of the ingredients, let's chat about the difference between an eye serum and an eye cream.

Eye serums 101 >>

  • Absorb deeper into your skin's layers.

  • Contain more active ingredients that penetrate deeper into your skin due to their smaller size of molecules.

  • Nourishes, improves dark circles, reduces puffiness and wrinkles.

  • Better for applying at night.

Eye creams 101 >>

  • Target the surface-level of the skin around your eyes.

  • Absorption further into the skin's layers is limited.

  • Hydrates and moisturises.

  • Better for applying in the morning.

Right, now back to what makes this eye serum so fantastic!
