Sleep's Visitor (written by Tash)

Again, as a sufferer of sleep paralysis. This was written after one of my experiences.

The sun was creeping in her window. She lay there and closed her eyes to rest.

While asleep, She felt it crawl through her window. She lay there Unable to move Unable to scream. It took the pillow And smothered her face. Her chest closed, Desperate for air. She fought the reality of the illusion, Knowing it was just that An illusion. It was the not the first time You see Nor the last. As she found Logic, The pillow lifted. Pitter patter along her bed. Out of the window it climbed.

She woke up, Closed her eyes again, Too tired to care If the nightmare came back again. As long as she knew it wasn't real. She'd be safe.

Her eyes open Struggling She roles over Dying To dream again. Another day. Another futile existence With no determined meaning, But an alleged reality. Where is our creator? What is it? Is it science

Bleeding soulful tunes out of my lips, Cry An ocean between my toes. Who Knows Where God may be tomorrow.
