This week features two of my all-time favourite beauty products that never fail me as well as a really simple item to add to your desk at work or in your study at home to help you focus and get shit done.
01 HOURGLASS
I run my business from home, as I'm sure a lot of you do. So you'll understand when I say that sometimes it's a little difficult to focus. Whether you run a business from home, or work in an office or even studying, I cannot recommend one of these bad boys enough.
My hourglass is imperative for my productivity and the fact that's it's a visual representation, when I'm having problems focussing, I find it really helps to bring me back to the present moment and focus. It also helps me break up my work into simple hour-long sessions, without jumping out of my skin when my timer on my phone goes off.

02 SELF TANNING CREME - NATURAL GLOW by Dior
When I lived in London, sunny days were not beating down on our doorstep if you know what I mean. Saying that, I'm not a big tanner anyway. In fact, I find it one of the most boring things on this earth to do. So what does a pale skinned girl gotta do to get a bit of colour (it was dire in London)? So I tried every which self-tan and used to test each product with my 'drunk test'. Yip. If I was trying a new self-tan, I would only apply it if I was drunk and if I woke up the next day with no streaks, then I knew it was the one. Well, this is THIS ONE folks! I was actually so flabbergasted about how amazing it looked, I even did the 'drunk test' a couple more times just to be sure. Never failed. Other major plus factors with this are that you don't have to moisturize before, in fact, don't. That was the only time that this streaked was when I put moisturizer on before applying. The creme is hydrating enough. Also, it doesn't smell as hectic as most self-tanning lotions. The glow from this product looks so natural. I absolute LOVE this and am never without it.
These fly out of the store as soon as they land, so I'd advise going to your local Red Square and ask them to keep one for you as soon as they arrive.

03 COLOSSAL EXTRA VOLUME MASCARA by Maybelline
If you're looking for an affordable mascara that works, then go get yourself this lash-alicious mascara. It makes your eyelashes look longer and fuller. You should change your mascara every 3 months as the pump action of pulling the wand out and putting it back (sounds all very sexual) increases the chances of bacteria build-up. So you don't really want to be forking out a small fortune every 3 months, now do you?
A little beauty tip for everyone. If you want to get fuller and longer lashes, go and invest in some castor oil. Put some on cotton wool and wipe over your eyelids and eyelashes. Castor oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties as well as being packed with nutrients like proteins, minerals and fatty acids. It's 2 properties that help with the lash growth drama is, first of all, Vitamin E. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that conditions your lashes and helps repair damage to the hair follicles, thus preventing them from falling out and promoting hair growth. Secondly, it contains the fatty acid, Ricinoleic Acid, which is an omega-9 essential fatty acid that thickens your lashes and stimulates growth.
As an added bonus it also helps you sleep as castor oil is quite heavy and the heaviness on your eyelids sends a little message to your brain that you're really tired. Don't say I don't treat you guys with amazing tit-bits of beauty knowledge.
