So this week, it's all about green! Two of this week's items are environmentally conscious and one is a piece of jewellery that is green and the stone is from the earth - see what I did there?

I have been eyeing this exquisite piece of jewellery for a while now. I absolutely love this piece for many a reason.
Let's start with the aesthetics. This ring is so feminine looking and durable enough by its build (2.9 carats, 4 claw set ring in 9kt rose gold). Guys, let's be, wear & think green.
So the political climate that we all find ourselves in, globally, at the moment is dichotomous and hostile. Now you may be wondering why on earth I am bringing up politics (as was I whilst writing this), so I'll explain why I have bothered.
My dear friends. Here is a Truth. We are all different and that is great. Some of us love money, some of us love people, some of us love nature, some of us love animals, some of us love all of these but can only dedicate our time to one ore more of these initiatives. Life is all about balance (something I put my hand up that I struggle with). And we are also human and can only try and help with some of these areas. BUT, that does not mean that if you are an animal person that you have a right to be unkind to humans and so on and so forth.
Our political climate, is dichotomous, for lack of a better word. The dichotomy (in super lamens terms) is the Trump-like humans of the world vs. the eco-warriors. However, what bothers me is the hostility that comes from both parties. When I lived in Cape Town a couple of years ago, I was getting a smoothie at my local organic shop in Muizenberg. This was the height of the 'plastic straw' drama that everyone was fixating on. Don't get me wrong, fan-fcking-tastic, BUT have a brain. The aggression I witnessed way too often towards staff members giving plastic straws was as unkind as polluting our sea-life. So this lady had a complete meltdown at this poor staff member about the plastic straw that was served in her (also 100% plastic container). I was at the end of my tether with this type of behaviour so I chimed in and asked why she was only having a massive moment about the straw and not the plastic container that her smoothie came in. She was quite taken aback about that comment and fumbled a retort. I then asked her if she gets takeaway coffee too, to which she replied 'Yes'. Also, pointed out to her that the lid of the coffee is plastic and asked if she craps on the staff too for that? Again whilst she was trying to fumble a response, I turned to the poor guy behind the counter and asked him, politely, if he had any say in what or how the coffee/smoothies were served in that particular shop and of course he said, 'No'. I turned back to the lady and immediately saw her aggressive face soften. I turned to her and said, 'I understand where you are coming from, but it makes no sense to take a shot at this poor guy. A. Rather speak to the manager and B. If you feel that strongly to be so aggressive to another human, when you speak to the decision-maker, ask for full change. She picked up her yoga mat and responded 'point-taken' and huffed off. I will never forget that staff's facial expression of thanks.
My point being, don't argue things that are trendy. Argue things in their entirety and also don't be unkind to anyone. If you really care, make a change, without being an asshole.
